I am a menopausal 52 year old (boy that looks old when you see it in writing). Thankfully I still have my incredible good looks, shapely barrel figure and memory as sharp as a butter knife.  I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humour and generally have a “glass is half full” (preferably with wine) outlook.

The only medical background I have is my own.  I am a 6+ year breast cancer survivor (have never really liked that word "survivor" but then again, I guess I am still alive). I had what I refer to as the full-meal deal; mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. I was forced into menopause by the chemo and as a result I suffer from hot flashes, muffin top, back fat and general crankiness.

Nothing I write about is research-based and everything is based purely on our own personal experiences.  I hope you will enjoy reading about our family's "adventures" with Riley who is now 18 and has autism as well as a few other "idiosyncrasies".
